Is pain a passion of the soul?
Is sorrow the same as pain?
Is sorrow or pain contrary in pleasure?
Is all sorrow contrary to all pleasure?
Is there a sorrow contrary to the pleasure of contemplation?
(showing where there’d be a place for it to be ‘absolutely’ healed - also interesting because sorrow may be less of a hindrance dispo-satively than pleasures, although immediately might be more of a hindrance - although he does say that pleasure is equally a hindrance and a little bit of sorrow can help although generally mitigates. On the other hand, pleasure in ratio itself increases X in ratio/contemplatio
Is sorrow to be shunned more than pleasure is to be sought?
Figuring out impellings of movment - first in general but maybe gives peek into whether more useful disciplinary-wise if other things aren’t working (parallel in child learning - the best thing is not sorrows but getting the child to desire it herself - but if the sorrow is precisely stemming from the desire to learn then it might be more of a drive)
Is exterior pain greater than interior?
Interior pain will be greater because closer to the seat?
